Q: What is a Claude Code Routine?
A: A Claude Code Routine is a JSON-defined workflow that runs inside an Anthropic workspace. It triggers on a schedule, a webhook, or an API call, then executes a sequence of Claude tool-use steps. ARC-01 ships eight of these, pre-wired with error handling.

Q: What do I need to use ARC-01?
A: Node 20 or newer, an Anthropic API key with Claude access, and @anthropic-ai/sdk installed. The Claude Code Routines workspace is optional. Routines run standalone via CLI if you do not use the Routines UI.

Q: Does ARC-01 work with the Claude API or only Claude Code Routines?
A: Both. Every routine ships with a TypeScript reference implementation that calls @anthropic-ai/sdk directly. The Routines JSON is a packaging convenience, not a dependency.

Q: Is this only for Claude Pro subscribers?
A: No. ARC-01 works with any Anthropic API key, including pay-as-you-go developer keys. Claude Code Routines requires a Claude Pro workspace for the UI import mode; the standalone CLI mode has no subscription requirement.

Q: Can I use the routines commercially?
A: Yes. Single-seat lifetime license permits unlimited commercial use by the buyer. Redistribution and resale are prohibited.

Q: What does "lifetime" mean if Anthropic changes the Routines API?
A: Lifetime means ongoing access to the download and future compatibility patches for the major version. If the Routines API changes, Arctide ships updated routine JSON at no charge to existing buyers. If Anthropic sunsets Routines entirely, the TypeScript reference implementation keeps working against the standard Anthropic API.

Q: Team or agency use?
A: Single-seat license covers one workspace. Team seats require a separate license. Contact hello@arctide.dev for team pricing.

Q: Can I self-host or run offline?
A: The standalone CLI mode runs on any machine with Node 20+ and an Anthropic API key. Offline inference is not supported because the routines call Claude. The routines themselves do not require a network beyond the Anthropic API endpoint.
